In a break from our regular format, we were joined once again by friend of the pod Chad Byrnes, film critic at LA Weekly and The Village Voice, to talk about a film he feels strongly enough to have a tattoo inspired by it. This time, it's Josh and Sean who have not seen in full since they were youths. How would John Boorman's sexualized gritty Arthurian sword and sorcery drama play in 2025? What would they make of Boorman directing a sex scene starring his own daughter? Would its episodic nature and decades-spanning narrative be too much to overcome in keeping forward momentum?
